Aktolgali was quick to reward a loyal group of owners when winning first up at Ballarat synthetic over 1500m.

First up for his new stable, the 4yr old gelded son of Adelaide raced a bit keenly early and was shuffled back towards the end of the field. Needing a bit of luck coming into the straight, jockey John Allen was able to peel off heels and give the big horse a bit of room to build momentum and win by 0.1L.

Lightly raced his 14 starts have seen 2 wins, the last coming almost 2 years ago.  “This is a great group of owners and they’ve stood by this horse” said trainer, Clayton Douglas.  “They’re loyal owners for us so we agreed to give him a go and see if we could find some of his early form.  It’s a great result and we’re thrilled for them”.
