Knockout blow by Title Fighter

A $20,000 thousand dollar purchase turned that into over $100,000 with an impressive Moonee Valley debut.

The well named son of Lean Mean Machine ,Title Fighter, proved that he had plenty of fight, and speed, with and impressive win over 1000m in the opening event.

Clayton had galloped the gelding at the track on Tuesday morning in blinkers and handed the reins to the master in Craig Williams for Saturday’s event.

Craig certainly didn’t let the team down, crossing from an outside gate to lead throughout.

“He’s very fast and because he’s very well-educated and fit, he was able to sustain that type of speed throughout,” said Williams.

“Amazing agility, amazing balance and very nice ability. He’s still very raw but very well prepared for this race.”

Breeders Ponderosa Park sold gelding as a weanling before buying him back 18 months later at the Inglis Ready 2 Run sale for $20,000.  Saturday’s win with bonuses takes his prizemoney to over $103,000.

Congratulations to Ponderosa Park and everyone involved with the win.
